Reader's Choice Award

The Reader's Choice Award is an accolade that is given through the Community Newspaper Company (owned by the Boston Herald) which serves numerous cities and towns throughout the Massachusetts area. Reader's are asked to submit votes and choose their favorite restaurants, clothing stores, car dealerships, theatres, etc. Thousands of votes are tallied and ultimately a bronze, silver and gold award are presented to the organizations receiving the most responses within their community as well as within their region.

After only the first year of operation, The MLDC was the single recipient of the highest award, the gold, for summer camps both locally as well as within the region. The region is comprised of:
