Camp transportation is an important part of our program and safety is always our number one focus. We transport campers to and from camp each day and to various off-site activities on school buses driven by professional school bus drivers.  In fact, The MLDC is the only area day camp we know of that actually owns its own buses! We also hire our own drivers and perform our own CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and SORI (Sexual Offender Record Information) background checks.  Each bus also has camp staff riding with the campers from the first stop to the last. 

Parents who may have concerns regarding the duration of the bus ride are often surprised at the efficiency of our planning from as far as our Belmont, Newton and Wellesley routes.  Additionally, counselors are there to provide assistance to campers as well as to create activities and appropriate games that make the bus ride a fun part of the day.  For those campers, camp has already begun!  You may view a map to see your location relative to us by clicking here.

During the camp day, campers being transported to various activities are accompanied by their counselors.  All staff on each bus are equipped with a cellular phone for communication purposes.

We provide bus service to centralized pick-up and drop-off locations throughout a variety of towns.  If you are part of our Corporate Affiliate program, we can also arrange to have the pick-up/drop-off location at your place of employment.  If you are wondering roughly where the exact locations are, we have the 2006 schedule posted here.
