Camp
Mirror Lake is a creation designed for parents looking for basic
recreational services for their children between 5-10 years of age in an
environment that is still safe and enjoyable.
Although this
program does not offer the same special electives/choices that are
featured in our Junior Discovery Camp and the camper to counselor ratio
is higher (up to 10:1; read more about what that really means by clicking here). Mirror Lake campers are engaged
with core activities such as arts & crafts, sports & games, swimming and
nature studies. They also receive a Red Cross swim lesson daily. Hours
of operation are slightly shorter than our Junior Discovery program
(9:00am–3:00pm) and extended day services are available both before and
after camp. Extended day services after camp are from 3:00-4:00
and 4:00-6:00. The 3:00-4:00 time allows campers to take the
afternoon bus if they need it and the 4:00-6:00 time allows parents the
flexibility to pick their child up onsite. Extended day rates can
be found here.
In order to avoid confusion, please
remember that Camp Mirror Lake offers a predetermined schedule and is
NOT a choice curriculum (Click here to see why). Having said that, we
strongly discourage parents who have had their children enrolled in our
Junior Discovery camp from having their child enroll in Camp Mirror
Lake. Once your child has had a taste of designing his/her own program,
it is difficult to switch.
This program was built to offer the
safety and supervision expected with a higher-end organization or day
care combined with activities of a basic recreation program, all for a
price that makes it an exceptional value.
Dates and rates for
this and all camps can be accessed via the link menu on the left or by clicking here. Parents of Mirror Lake campers can
also take advantage of our exceptional lunch offers for only an
additional $25/week.
Please remember that if you would like to use
transportation services, the program ends at 3:00 and the buses leave at
4:00, therefore you would need to register for one hour of extended day.
