Our horseback camp, located at Harmony Horse Stables LLC in Littleton, Massachusetts, is a unique and popular program that is open to all levels of riders from beginner through advanced. Harmony Horse Stables is a first class equestrian training facility, with 2 outdoor riding rings and an indoor arena.

Horseback camp is divided into two periods that equate to a 9:00am-4:00pm schedule. Mornings are spent at the stables, where campers have the opportunity to learn horsemanship skills and have a riding lesson. Later in the afternoon, campers return to the campus where they can enjoy the other many diverse activities of our Junior Discovery or Teen Exploration programs.

Certified instructors separate the campers into the appropriate riding groups and campers are matched to a specific horse based on the camper's weight, ability and personality.  Skills taught at riding camp include grooming, horse handling safety, tacking up, and stable management. Campers receive a riding lesson each day until Friday when they have an opportunity to display those skills for parents in our "riding show."  At the show, campers receive ribbons for their performances as well as a certificate indicating their level.  The show is also designed as an opportunity for parents to meet with their children’s instructors.  To view our camp video which includes film from the horse stables, you may visit our video page by clicking here.

If your child is unsure whether or not he or she would enjoy a full week of horseback camp, we suggest your child try a horseback lesson at Harmony Horse Stables.  If you are interested in hourly horseback lessons, please call Harmony Horse Stables LLC at 978-486-8360 or click here to open up a new browser window and view their website.
