Would you like to be one of us? Our summer camp staff team is primarily comprised of three types of
leaders: We operate nine weeks every summer, which includes a week of staff training and eight
one week sessions. General staff training begins during the third week of June. Our day camp is
operational Monday through Friday from the fourth week of June through the third week of August. If you are interested in applying for a position, please call 978-501-6021 to obtain a detailed job description and a Staff Application.
Certifications CPR and First Aid are required by all camp staff working at The Marcus Lewis Day Camp. We will provide an opportunity for staff to become certified during staff training however, staff are encouraged to attain this certification prior to camp.
Senior Counselor: 2 Positions Remaining
Bus Drivers: 0 Positions
Waterfront Director: 2 Position Remaining
Waterfront Safety Instructor: 1 Position Remaining
Life Guards: 2 Positions Remaining
Provide guidance and leadership to a group of day campers. Help organize, lead games, and other recreational activities. Must be at least 18 years of age, and have a desire to work with children. Experience working with children and CPR/First Aid preferred.
Health Supervisor/EMT 1 Position
Manage Health Office. Administer First Aid and medications as needed to MLDC staff and/or campers. Maintain required forms, logs, and act as a liaison with the on-call camp physician. Participate in staff training and teach areas related to camp health & safety, and universal precautions for infection control. RN or Certified/licensed Athletic Trainer preferred.
Day Trip Supervisor 0 Position
Primary responsibility will be overseeing the Day Trip Adventure programs. Previous camp leadership and/or supervisory experience required. Previous challenge course, wilderness travel, WFR, experience preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age.
Trip Leaders 0 Positions
Responsible for assisting the Day Trip Supervisor in providing guidance, leadership and safety protocols to campers. Previous experience leading wilderness trips and/or student trips with NOLS, Outward Bound, or similar programs preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills and work with teenagers ideal.
Horseback Specialists 0 Positions
Responsible for the supervision of our English Riding Program offered in conjunction with Harmony Horse Stables. This position is responsible for assisting with the instruction of riding lessons, care of horses, and the horseback curriculum. Applicant must have experience riding horses, tacking and stable management.
Golf Specialists 0 Position
Assist the golf instructor in all aspects of the golf program. Experience working with children and CPR/First Aid required. Golf experience preferred.
Cooking Specialists 0 Positions
Familiar with basic culinary skills and able to assist instructor in all aspects of a culinary class.
Administrative Assistant 0 Position
This
position provides support and assistance to all management
personnel. Primary
responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, computer data
entry, filing, running reports, and telephone responsibilities.
Applicant must be computer literate and knowledge of Word, Excel, and
Access preferred.
Program Director 0 Position
Assist Director in all aspects of the camp. Will supervise staff, coordinate busing services and plan special events. Applicant must have experience working with children and supervisory or managerial experience. CPR/First Aid certification required.
