For those that know what Quidditch is, you are no doubt wondering how this would even be possible. For those that don't, you will need to look at a Harry Potter book.

Quidditch is a game that was created in the mind of the author of the Harry Potter series. Participants fly on their broomsticks trying to throw a ball through a hoop while the opposing team tries to prevent them from doing it. As players compete, they also run the risk of being hit by a "bludger" (this is a ball that is trying to hit you).

Like most, we did not know this activity was possible for us non-wizarding types, however it turned out that our Sports & Games specialist is also an avid player of the game. Little did we realize that it is a wildly popular activity on many college campuses as well as at some high schools. No surprise that it was another big hit at our camp this summer.

Once the campers got a taste of Quidditch on Wednesdays, we asked many of them if they would have an interest in playing Quidditch each day i and the majority of hands went up. Hence, we now have the official Quidditch Camp at MLDC!
