Any adult who has attended a camp as a youth will no doubt agree that the experience has a lifelong impact.  The MLDC is an organization that believes every child should have the opportunity to have such an experience regardless of their financial status.

In an effort to assist struggling families with the opportunity to send their child to camp, The MLDC has designed a scholarship fund. Each year we are able to raise monies through the generosity of other camper families, via scholarship grants and through our own allocation of heavily discounted slots. If you have an interest in making a donation to our fund, you may do so by credit card through our registration system or you may send a check to our P.O. Box address here.

If you are interested in sending your child to our camp and would like to apply for financial assistance, please click here to download and print out the application.  You may submit the application anytime after January 15th. If you are unable to download the form, then please contact us and we will gladly mail the form to you. You may also click here to see what our guidelines are for the percentage of assistance that we can give based on household income.

If you live in the Acton area, we would ask that you contact Betty McManus of the Doli Atamian Campership Program at 978-263-0131 prior to contacting us. We work directly with this program that serves Acton and Boxborough residents. If you are a struggling parent and meet their income eligibility requirements, there is an excellent chance that they will be able to assist in covering a substantial portion of your tuition costs. It will also fund campers who live in contiguous towns (e.g. Boxborough, Stow, Maynard, Concord, Westford, etc.) if they are clients of the Acton Housing Authority.

Bear in mind that scholarships cannot be applied toward our specialty camps (horseback, Day Tripper, etc.) at this time.  Our goal is to provide a basic camp experience for as many campers as possible.  As we grow, we ultimately expect to include all of our camps into the program.

Lastly, we would like to give a very special thanks to those companies that have so generously donated to our program and given children with limited resources an opportunity to enjoy their summer to the fullest. The combined support shown by these organizations has made the difference in many local households in need of summer care:
