For the past few years, campers have told us that
they cannot get enough of our 50-foot Alpine climbing tower.
Unlike climbing walls or other similar structures, Alpine towers have a host of elements built into them that make
the ascension of the tower as challenging as the climber chooses it to be. Campers may opt to take
an easy walk up the "Piano Stairs" to the first platform or they can try to climb up the more difficult side that
has fewer climbing holds. The "Hanging Logs" await anyone who thinks they can scale them or a camper can pit
themselves against the ultimate challenge of the "Corporate Ladder"
In Climber's Paradise, campers will have the resources to tackle all of these obstacles and much more. The week will
start with teambuilding challenges that the group will need to figure out together and then progress to trying to
defeat the many elements of the tower itself.
Also integrated into the program is a unique tower element that MLDC campers have nicknamed, "The Atomic Drop." The Atomic
Drop is a swing of gigantic proportions that will give an adrenaline rush to anyone who enjoys a good rollercoaster ride. You
can get a closer look at both of these pieces of equipment on our activities page by
clicking here.
A tremendous advantage with all of our specialty camps is that campers can participate in the many other activities that are offered
during the afternoons by joining in with their Junior Discovery
group or the Teen Exploration program.
Campers registered for specialty programs also have the option of taking the morning off from their specialty to join the
Junior Discovery or Teen Exploration camps if they would prefer instead to participate in those activities. Again,
there is fantastic flexibility with these programs so that your camper returns to you with a wonderful smile and great
stories to share.
Dates and rates for this and all camps can be accessed via the link menu on the left or by
clicking here. Our exceptional
lunch program is also included
with this camp.
